Dementia Friendly Pharmacy Launch Event

27th July 2016 7pm

The Education Centre, Royal Bolton Hospital

There are over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK. Pharmacy teams are ideally placed to support people and their carers to live well with dementia. The Greater Manchester Pharmacy Local Professional Network (LPN) has developed a framework to guide pharmacy teams to find out more about dementia and the small changes that could make a difference to people living in their community.

We would like to invite you to a meeting to launch the framework. This is being delivered by the Pharmacy Local Professional Network in collaboration with Bolton Local Pharmaceutical Committee.

· Date: Wednesday 27 July
· Time: 7pm – 8.45pm (light refreshments from 6.30pm)
· Venue: Education Centre, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Bolton Hospital, Minerva Road, Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 0JR.

Do come along to find out more about the impact of dementia and why dementia friendly communities are important. We will also introduce the framework and explain how pharmacy teams can use this to support people with dementia and their carers. You will also be able to contribute to the development of the LPN pledges to join the Dementia Action Alliance.
